Killing time

Just reading Clinton’s “massive retaliation” statement. Everyone likes to suck up to the Isreali hawk lobby. As much as these guys hate their Muslim neighbors, they emulate them in so many ways - (more…)

Countdown to Pennsylvania

Posted in Barack Obama, Election, Hillary Clinton by iowajim on the April 18th, 2008

Just a few days more - will we finally see Obama put Clinton in the ground, or will the race continue? Too soon to tell. I’d say it will carry on. The Furry says it might be a surprise upset for Obama. (more…)

Clinton is going to win in Penn.

Just my call. I don’t think Barack can eke out a win here from this far behind, although he might surprise with an especially strong showing. But I doubt it. The best bet is (more…)

Bitter

Posted in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton by iowajim on the April 15th, 2008

Obama says we’re “bitter”. And you know what? You bet my bippy I’m bitter! I’m bitter about this whole damn nomination race that’s become an exercise of futility and nit-picking. I’m bitter about the last 8 years of bickering, warmaking and fiscal irresponsibility. I’m bitter at the constant erosion of my rights, the persistent fearmongering and the coziness between big business and the elected representatives of the people.

If you’ve been shafted for 8 years, wouldn’t you be bitter. (more…)

Back in December, I spoke with my boss about the American elections. Already, back then it was heating up into an interesting race…between the two democratic candidates. The Republican field was fractured with no major powers in play after the collapse of John McCain in September. The democrats, on the other hand, were motivated and pumped up by the lamentable George W. Bush Presidency and the prospect of a history-making choice of nominees (sorry Mr. Edwards, this just wasn’t your year). When discussing the choice of candidates, I tipped Hillary Clinton for the nomination – not on strength of her candidacy but because of the perceived power of the Clinton political machine. I’d expected her to make a quick hash out of Obama regardless of the fact that I believed Barack was really the better of the two candidates.

Well, I guess that’s what comes from being an outside observer. I’m sure (more…)

Clinton supporters are utter morons.

No, seriously. Spam campaigns on pro-Obama message boards don’t constitute a savvy web strategy. Slander on political web blogs doesn’t constitute a savvy web strategy. So unless the Clinton campaign is staffed are utter morons (more…)

Roll out the Baka…I mean…Bigot Bombs

How far the mighty hath fallen. Hillary Clinton, once the soon-to-be-crowned Queen of the Democrats has been unseated by a young, charismatic upstart named Barack Hussein Obama. Queen Hillary has been suffering multiple upsets at the hands of this Democratic whippersnapper who has been so…so impudent as to challenge her God Given Right to the Democratic nomination.

At first, Her Majesty believed that she could deal with this pest by humbling him in New Hampshire and Nevada, then crushing him on Super Tuesday. But Super Tuesday came and went, and…guess what? That impudent little ant (more…)

It’s been surfacing recently, speculation that Hillary Clinton is no longer trying to win the 2008 elections – she’s gunning for the 2012 elections. And she’s doing it by trying to destroy Obama so badly that he’ll lose to John McCain.

That’s interesting speculation and should bear some thought. McCain is 71, the oldest Presidential candidate in history. It would seem a safe bet, morbid as it sounds, to assume he’ll be a one-term president by either electoral selection or natural selection. Obama is different. Young and coming from the same (more…)

Danger! Minefield!

Posted in Barack Obama, Hillary Clinton by admin on the February 26th, 2008

Ok, right now, everyone probably has heard something about the online flap over Obama appearing in a Somali tribal garb. The Obama campaign immediately hit out, calling it “the most shameful, offensive fear-mongering we’ve seen from either party in this election” and suggesting that it implies that “that the customs and cultures of other parts of the world are worthy of ridicule or condemnation.”

Clinton’s campaign quickly fired back saying, “Enough. If Barack Obama’s campaign wants to suggest that a photo of him wearing traditional Somali clothing is divisive, they should be ashamed. Hillary Clinton has worn the traditional clothing of countries she has visited and had those photos published widely. This is (more…)
